How the links work

Paid links point at /go/[tool], which redirects to the URL in content/affiliates.json. That file is the only place affiliate URLs live. Placeholder hrefs include the token TODO and are not approved partner IDs. Until a program approves CaseFactory, the redirect still lands on a vendor URL with a fake query param.
