Review replies for clinics

How a clinic or dental office can answer a review without confirming the person is a patient or repeating a diagnosis.

The public review is not the chart

Even if the person names the diagnosis, the doctor or the treatment, your reply should not repeat it. Confirming “yes, you are a patient and the root canal was on Tuesday” publishes health data to anyone reading Google.

That still applies when the comment is kind. “Thank you for trusting us with your surgery” is still a clinical fact on a public wall.

What you can say

You can thank them, say that for privacy you do not discuss health matters or confirm personal data, and invite a private channel the clinic already uses: the front desk phone or the office email, not the address they pasted in the review.

If the complaint is about the wait, cleanliness or the front desk, and there is no clinical detail, thanks plus a private follow-up is enough. Do not name the person or their relative.

A reply you should not post, and one you can

Do not post: “Sorry the root canal with Dr. Pérez hurt; as a patient since 2019 we know your case.” Do post: “Thank you for writing. For privacy we do not discuss health matters or confirm personal details in a review. If you want this looked at, use the clinic’s private channel.”

The generator on this site is built to stay on the second form when it sees a health topic. You still have to read it. A suggestion does not replace the clinic’s judgment or a legal review.

The examples are fictional. The draft on the home page is a suggestion: read it before you post it.
