Review replies for restaurants and taquerías

How a taquería or restaurant can answer reviews about wait time, food, service and the check.

The four themes that repeat

Neighborhood restaurants mostly hear about wait time, temperature or taste, the person who served, and the check. The reply can mention the table and the visit. It does not need to rebuild the order dish by dish.

A warm tú fits most places. Usted fits a more formal room. Brief fits Instagram. Close is for when you already write that way.

The check and the wait, without a trial

If they say they were overcharged, do not confirm or deny the amount in the review. Ask them to message you with the day and time, and check the ticket. Posting “the bill is correct, you are wrong” sides the next customer with the reviewer.

On a long wait, “we took longer than we wanted” is enough. Whether the kitchen was short-staffed is a conversation with your team, not with the street.

Mercado Libre and Instagram are not Google

On Mercado Libre people expect a short reply and an open door to the order messages. On Instagram, thanks plus an invitation to come back — or a DM if something went wrong — is enough. On Google you can use the four sentences.

Do not ask them to change the stars. Do not offer dessert in exchange. If you want to make it right, do it in private and do not tie it to editing the review.

The examples are fictional. The draft on the home page is a suggestion: read it before you post it.
