Google Business Profile name with keywords: what to fix before you appeal
The profile name has to be the business’s real-world name: the one on the sign, the site, and what customers know. Adding the city, the service, or words such as “best” or “24 hours” conflicts with the representation guidelines and can lead to a suspension. Remove them before you appeal. The appeal is submitted once, so the name already has to be fixed when you attach the evidence.
What counts as the real name
The rule is at https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038177?hl=en. The name is the one on the permanent sign, on the paperwork, and how customers ask for you. It is not an ad line.
Examples of the problem, not of a trick: “Express Plumbing | best plumber Queretaro 24 hours”. If the sign says “Express Plumbing”, that is the name. The city, “best”, and “24 hours” do not belong.
If the real sign includes a word that looks like a city, do not delete it blindly. The proof is the sign, not a list of cities.
Fix it before the appeal
Change the name on the profile to the name on the sign, then prepare the evidence. The documents have to show that same name. https://support.google.com/business/answer/4569145?hl=en
Do not open another profile with the long name “so you do not lose the ranking”. The suspension guide says not to create another profile for the same business, and sign-up asks for one profile in the area.
If you decide to keep the extra words, Rescate does not write the appeal. We do not help defend a name the guidelines do not allow.
The description and the name are not the same field
The service can be explained in the description and in the category. Since October 2026, that description also must not carry prices, time-bound promotions, or calls-to-action. https://support.google.com/business/answer/7400114?hl=en
The Rescate checker flags cities, “best”, “near me”, and services stuck on with a bar. It is a heuristic check. It does not replace reading the sign.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put the city in parentheses?
No, if it is not part of the real name. Parentheses, a bar, or a hyphen do not turn the city into part of the sign.
What if the profile is already suspended because of the name?
Fix the name, gather documents with that name, and submit one appeal. Do not create another profile and do not submit the appeal twice.
Will Rescate write an appeal to keep the keywords?
No. If you will not remove them, we do not take the case.
