Google Business Profile suspended: what to do (2026)
If Google suspended or disabled the profile, align the name, address, and category with the guidelines, gather the evidence, and submit one appeal inside the tool. Evidence is attached there, with a Choose file button that accepts multiple files. There is no separate form and no 60-minute window. If the Google account is restricted, appeal the account on My accounts first, then the profile. Google decides whether to restore it.
Suspended, disabled, or a restricted account
The fix guide groups a suspended profile and a disabled profile on the same path: https://support.google.com/business/answer/4569145?hl=en. In both cases the public cannot open the profile, and the owner asks for a review with an appeal.
A restricted account is different. Google says that if the account violates the policy, the profiles it manages are suspended and you cannot create or claim others. Appeal the account first on the My accounts page. After that restriction is lifted, appeal the profile: https://support.google.com/business/answer/4569145?hl=en.
Do not publish another profile “in the meantime”. The same guide marks it as important: do not create a new profile for the same business.
Causes the guidelines name
The representation guidelines are at https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038177?hl=en. This page does not invent a ranking or a percentage. These are causes that guide treats as a reason not to show the profile:
The name is not the real-world name: it adds a city, a service, or promotional words that are not on the sign. The address is not where you serve customers, or it is a virtual office, a mailbox, or a PO box. The business exists only online and there is no in-person contact. Another profile for the same business exists in the same area. The category does not describe what you do.
If Google’s notice points at one of those, fix it before you appeal. If you will not remove a keyword name, or the address is a virtual office, Rescate does not build a file that presents it as compliant.
How the appeal works since July 2026
In July 2026 Google moved evidence into the appeal. The old flow, a separate form with five attachment fields and 60 minutes, is gone. Google’s own help describes the new flow, and Search Engine Roundtable summarized the change: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-business-profiles-appeal-evidence-uploads-41641.html.
Open the appeals tool, confirm the account, and choose the profile and the decision. To upload evidence, select Choose file. That button accepts multiple files. In the text box, explain why the profile should come back. The help page says: “Appeals can only be submitted once.” https://support.google.com/business/answer/4569145?hl=en https://support.google.com/business/answer/13597551?hl=en
Before you submit, tick the box. The help page quotes it as: “I'm ready to submit this appeal and confirm that all optional supporting evidence is attached.”
At the start, if you manage many profiles, the tool asks: “Are you requesting bulk reinstatement for 10 or more suspended locations?” A single profile is a no.
To upload supporting evidence, select Choose file. You can attach multiple files to your appeal.

What evidence Google asks for
The suspension guide and the appeals guide name the same kinds: official business registration, a business license, a tax certificate, and business utility bills (electricity, phone, water, or internet). https://support.google.com/business/answer/4569145?hl=en
The name and address on the document have to match the profile. Cover account numbers, ID numbers, and tax numbers. In Mexico, a tax-status certificate, a municipal license, or a utility bill fits those categories. In the United States, a state registration, a license, a tax document, and a utility bill. They are not a list apart from Google’s.
What not to do
Do not create another profile for the same business. https://support.google.com/business/answer/4569145?hl=en
Do not edit the name, the address, or the category while you wait. The documents have to match the profile you appealed, and the appeal is submitted once. https://support.google.com/business/answer/13597551?hl=en
Do not send a second appeal of the same issue. The appeals page says a review can take up to 5 business days and says not to submit multiple appeals for the same issue before the decision. https://support.google.com/business/answer/13597551?hl=en
Timelines, and when the file helps
Google writes that an appeal decision can take up to 5 business days. That page does not promise reinstatement. If the first request is denied, the suspension guide describes an additional review with evidence that was not in the original appeal. It is not a second appeal running at the same time.
If Google reinstates the profile and suspends it again days later, that is a different decision. Google has not published a count of how often this happens. The guide on a second suspension gathers the causes that are in the guidelines and says when another appeal applies.
The Rescate file helps when you already know the case fits the guidelines and you want the letter, the evidence list, and the order of steps before you press submit. The Kit sends that file. Guided rescue is the same file plus a human review within 48 business hours. You submit the appeal. Nobody signs in to the account. Google decides.

Frequently asked questions
Can anyone promise that Google will restore the profile?
No. Google’s help describes how to ask for a review. Google decides. Rescate delivers a file. It does not sign in to the account and it does not submit the appeal for you.
Does the 60-minute form still exist?
No. Since July 2026 the evidence is attached inside the appeal, with a Choose file button that accepts multiple files. Prepare the documents first, because the appeal can only be submitted once.
How long does the decision take?
The appeals page says a review can take up to 5 business days. It says not to submit multiple appeals for the same issue before you have the decision.
What if the Google account is restricted?
Appeal the account restriction on My accounts first. After Google lifts it, appeal the profile. Opening another account does not replace that order.
