- Google Business Profile keeps getting suspended again
If Google restores the profile and suspends it again days later, check the causes in the guidelines and appeal the new decision once. There is no official count of how many profiles this happens to.

Google assigns the method and it cannot be changed. If it offers video, record it live, unedited, at least 30 seconds. Review can take up to 5 business days. Since 20 October 2026 there is an undocumented test to upload a government ID.

On 20 October 2026 a test was reported: upload a photo of a government ID. It is not in Google’s help, it may not appear, and you cannot request it. Never send us your ID.

Since early October 2026, the Google Maps policy says the listing must not contain time-bound promotions, pricing, or calls-to-action. Google has not announced an enforcement date.

The guidelines ask for the real-world business name, as on the sign. An extra city, service, or “best” is a suspension reason. Fix it before the one-time appeal.
- Google Business Profile address problems: virtual offices, home, and service area
The public address is where you serve customers, with a sign. A virtual office does not count. If you go to the customer, hide the address and publish the service area.
- Restricted Google account: appeal the account before the profile
If Google restricts the account, the profiles it manages are suspended. Appeal the account on My accounts first. Then the profile. Another account does not replace that step.
- Duplicate Google Business Profiles: keep one before you appeal
Sign-up asks for one profile for the same business in the area. A duplicate can suspend the account. Keep the real profile and appeal once. An intentional duplicate is not defended.
